The IAM and AWAC met to begin the negotiation process on April 7, 8, and 9, 2015 at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Appleton, Wisconsin. Present for the Company were Bob Frisch, VP Flight Operation and Labor; Gary Pratt, VP Maintenance and Engineering; Tina Vos, Managing Director Human Resources and Mike McHargue, Director of Maintenance. Present for the Union were Jerry Lemke, District Lodge 142 General Chair and the Negotiating Committee Members, Gary Vargo MKE, Seneca Harris PHL, Jason Saledas CAE and James Allen Ross ORF.
No openers where passed by either party. The parties agreed on the Negotiation Ground Rules and several proposals were exchanged with discussions centered on full explanations behind each proposal. Dialogue between the parties was positive and constructive.
Future negotiations will be held in a rotation between each IAMAW AWAC Maintenance Location and then ATW. This will continue throughout the direct negotiation process unless otherwise agreed to.
Negotiations will resume on May 19, 20 and 21, 2015 in MKE. Other Negotiations Meetings are planned on June 30, July 1 and 2, 2015 in PHL and on July 21, 22, and 23, 2015 in CAE. Thank you for your solidarity and support during these Negotiations.
