Within the past few weeks there have been discussions concerning the new hire wage scale for Fuelers employed at LaGuardia Airport. In order to keep Allied competitive the Union has agreed to amend the wage scale that is applicable to all staff hired after October 3, 2014. This will hopefully address the difficulty in hiring and retaining employees and allow our members to provide the service and professionalism our customers expect.
For Employees Hired After 10/3/2014:
Old Scale New Scale
Rate of Pay start: $12.50 Rate of Pay start: $14.25
After probation 90 days $12.75 1 year $14.40
6 months $12.80 2 year $14.60
1 year $13.05 3 year $14.75
2 year $13.40 4 year $15.00
3 year $13.80 5 year $15.25
4 year $14.20 6 year $15.50
5 year $14.60
6 year $15.00
7 year $15.50
The new scale will go into effect the week of July 13, 2015. The Company has also agreed to pay each employee hired prior to October 3, 2014 a one time, lump sum amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) to be paid in the next payroll period after July 13, 2015.
