Attention TWU and IAM M&R and MLS members:
Due to the continuing challenges of the pandemic, integrated seniority list issues, Avionics clarifications, and other outstanding related challenges, the Association M&R and MLS Representation Committee and American Airlines have, by mutual agreement, agreed to delay the scheduled May 2020 re-bid for the AMT, GSE/FAC and the MLS Classifications.
The initial re-bid process listed in the JCBA is now planned to start on August 15/17, 2020 (the end of the summer flying schedule) depending on whether the Members are TWU or IAM. The reason for the different dates remains the same, the company has two scheduling programs, Workbrain and Autota, which operate differently for LUS and LAA and have different limitations.
It was also agreed that this August 2020 re-bid will then take place and continue through the end of the year, with the next scheduled re-bid expected to remain on schedule, according to Article 14 of the JCBA, in January 2021.
This agreed re-bid delay will not affect the MTS or MCT Classification planned bids.
In addition, discussions will continue about implementing other parts of the JCBA, including filling of those premium vacancies left from the VEOP and retirements as soon as possible.
