As you are aware, ratification meetings were held on Wednesday July 10, 2018 for the PHL members. Your Negotiating Committee, Shawn Litton, Chris Beurket and I were on property for all shifts and available to address any questions, concerns or comments on the tentative agreement.
On Thursday, July 11, 2018, you, the membership, made a strong showing at the polls to cast your ballots for the tentative agreement. All ballots were counted and the tentative agreement was approved by this membership by 90% in favor of accepting the agreement.
The agreement as voted was sent to the Company for a final review and printing of new contracts. As agreed, all improvements, enhancements and increases will be fully retroactive to June 16, 2018.
I want to thank, once again, Shawn and Chris for the long hours and insight they contributed to bringing these negotiations to a successful completion. I would also like to thank the membership for the support they showed your Committee through the process and the strong vote towards the hard work needed to bring these negotiations to a close.
