Sisters & Brothers:
Your IAM negotiations committee, Lisa Ferm and Mark Diefenbach along with IAM General Chairperson Sara Gonzales, met with the Company to continue negotiations January, 14-16, 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio.
We exchanged proposals on the following Sections:
Section 1 – Scope & Recognition
Section 3 – General
Section 6 – Training
Section 14 – Uniforms
Section 15 – Seniority
Section 16 – Investigations
We are pleased that we were able to reach a tentative agreement regarding Section 1 Scope & Recognition and Section 15 Seniority.
This week we made significant progress on several sections and are down to just a few issues left in each section. The Company is reviewing our proposals on Sections 3, 6 and 16. Understandably the greatest impact in the agreement will be in the Compensation and Scheduling sections and they will be addressed, but it will be toward the end of negotiations. We are looking forward to closing the remaining open sections and being able to moving forward in the negotiations process.
