Sisters & Brothers:
Your IAM negotiations committee, Lisa Ferm and Mark Diefenbach along with IAM General Chairperson Sara Gonzales, met with the Company to continue negotiations February 19-21, 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio.
We exchanged proposals on the following Sections:
Section 5 – Scheduling (Bidding)
Section 3 – General
Section 6 – Training
Section 16 – Investigations
We are pleased that we were able to reach a tentative agreement regarding Section 16 Investigations with many improvements.
As we delved into the Scheduling Section this week, we understand most of your concerns regarding your quality of life are contained in this Section and we are working diligently to make sure those issues are addressed. Due to the magnitude of Section 5 Scheduling, we have broken it up into two proposals. The proposal that we exchanged regarding Scheduling was the bidding portion and we are continuing to develop our proposal on the remaining portion of Section 5. The Company is still reviewing our proposals on Section 5 Scheduling (Bidding) and Section 3 General.
We are looking forward to continuing to reach agreements on the individual Sections and move towards bringing you a Tentative Agreement.
We greatly value your feedback, so continue to engage your representatives regarding negotiations. We appreciate your unity and support!
We will be meeting again March 26-28, 2019 in Cleveland, OH.
In Solidarity,
Sara Gonzales
