At the request of the IAM, the company has agreed to extend the September 2017 Bid Award up to 48 hours. Based on the current September Bid Award timeline those opting for retirement would have already been awarded a line. In order to avoid retirees being awarded lines that they would not be flying, the bid award timeline has been extended.
- Awards were set to be published August 21, 2017 at 5:00 pm.
- Now awards will be published no later than August 23, 2017 at 5:00 pm.
- Retirement decisions are due no later than August 21, 2017 at 5:00 pm.
- Extending the bid timeline will give realistic coverage numbers of RSV’s and will allow our Flight Attendants who are junior to those retiring the ability to be awarded pairings that they can hold.
