Another storm battered the Louisiana coast Wednesday night. Francine came ashore as a Category 2 hurricane near Terrebonne Parish and moved inland. The storm is bringing heavy rain across southeastern Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle. Even though the storm is being downgraded, it has brought widespread flooding and damage in its path and knocked out power to potentially hundreds of thousands of homes.
IAM District 142 EAP reps have been monitoring the storm along its path and are prepared to assist our members in need in that area.
