Dear Sisters and Brothers:
On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the District 142 Executive Board held a special-called meeting at District headquarters in Phoenix. During the meeting, President/Directing General Chair John M. Coveny, Jr. announced two appointments to the board:
- Todd Roan – General Chair (previously Vice President At-Large)
- Ignacio “Iggy” Salim – Vice President At-Large
Todd Roan has been a Vice President At-Large for District 142 since May 7, 2024, and he was duly elected during the Special Election on July 11, 2025. During his tenure as VP, Brother Roan worked extensively with PSA Airlines Mechanic & Related members during negotiations and the ratification of their most recent contract, and he has served as a Temporary General Chair since the start of the current negotiations for PSA Stores employees.
Iggy Salim joins District 142 from British Airways, where he has served as a Customer Service Representative for over forty years and is the IAM Chairperson. Brother Salim was a member of the District 142 Negotiating Committee during negotiations and the ratification of the most recent contract with British Airways.
