Dear Sisters and Brothers,
This coming May of 2023, District Lodge 142 will again hold a Flight Safety Conference at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center. The conference is scheduled to take place on May 30 and 31 and June 1, 2023, with travel days occurring on May 29 and June 2, 2023.
The conference will have guest speakers from related appropriate government and private agencies. This conference has been expanded a day and will feature an additional day to incorporate a “Mock Accident Drill” to help prepare our younger generation of brothers and sisters by sharing the knowledge from those of us who have participated in these unfortunate circumstances. This training will be invaluable for all Flight Safety members of all our carriers.
I am requesting your Local Lodge send current representatives, and in addition, anyone who may be interested in serving on the Flight Safety Committee.
All attendees MUST complete an online Participant Registration Form NO LATER THAN APRIL 5, 2023, to attend. Information for the online Registration Forms can be found on the back of this correspondence as well as through a link on the District Lodge 142 website (www.atd142.org). Specific details for arrival and departure will be provided to each attendee after all registrations are received.
This committee continues to serve a critical and important role for our membership, the traveling public and our industry. Thank you in advance for your consideration and action upon this request.
Sincerely and fraternally,
John M. Coveny, Jr.

Participants
Participant registrations should be filled out online, by April 5th, at the link provided below. All information requested on the form must be provided. It is very important for the participants to indicate how they will get to the center, i.e., by car or taking the bus. This is critical information as it tells us how many and how big of a bus is needed. If an enrollment form is not complete, the participant needs to be contacted to obtain the missing information. The best way to do this is to have the General Chair (GC) assigned to the participant’s Local Lodge contact the participant to obtain the information. In order to make sure we are referring incomplete forms to the right GC, please provide Tracy Woodburn with a list of GC assignments by LL.
