ERJ GRIEVANCE UPDATE

Posted Oct 13, 2014

As most of you are aware the Company has been removing flight attendants’ schedules and requiring a doctor’s note after they missed more than 15 calendar days due to a sick call.  This was a violation of Section 9.H.1. and due to this violation an Et. Al. (group) grievance was filed.
I am pleased to report we are currently working towards a settlement on this grievance.  Effective immediately, no flight attendant shall be pulled offline, have trips removed or be required to provide a doctor’s note after just 15 calendar days. Going forward only if you are absent 16 or more working days you will have a packet sent to you from Absence Management and be contacted by Inflight Management in order to advise you of a required release as outlined in Section 9.H.1.
If you have been adversely affected by being pulled offline after 15 calendar days please send your schedule along with pay advice and an outline of the excessive amount deducted from your MMG and/or sick bank to with “15 Days” in the subject line.
If you have any questions please contact your local lodge grievance representative.
