On Monday, August 23, 2022, ExpressJet/Aha! Airlines announced they have filed for Chapter 11 protection in federal court and will cease operations.
The IAMAW was notified of this action after the fact by the company. We are continuing to communicate with ExpressJet/Aha! to ensure our members’ rights are protected. With that said, your leadership will be submitting a letter for “Effects Bargaining” immediately to the company to ensure your rights are protected with this announcement.
In the coming week your IAM representatives will reach out to affected members and keep you posted on all developments.
