ExpressJet Annual 2017 Vacation Audit in Progress

The Company has announced that they are processing the audits for vacation, regarding attendance from 2016. Per the ERJ & CRJ CBAs, we bid and were awarded vacation in the fall of 2016 for 2017 vacation. The Company assumes that you will be working the remaining months of 2016, and awards you full weeks. However, per the ERJ CBA Section 8.D.5, if you are absent without pay for 16 days or more during a bid period, you will begin to be audited 1/12 of your applicable annual accrual (this does not include jobshares, partnerships, or half-month leaves). Per the CRJ CBA Section 12.A.1, if you are not active for at least 15 days during a bid period, you will be audited. Reminder: ERJ Flight Attendants have 30 days from this audit to file a grievance for any discrepancies. CRJ Flight Attendants have 45 days from this audit to file a grievance for any discrepancies.

If you have any questions about your audit, please contact your grievance representative as soon as possible. Their contact information may be found on the IAM XJT Flight Attendant mobile app: Search “IAMAW” in the Apple/Google Play store, and click on “Grievance Reps.”
