As we previously stated, it was clear that the union and the company were too far apart on the issues that need to be resolved to conclude negotiations, and further bargaining would not get us a deal. We since agreed to arbitration and believe this process offers the best protection for our members and the best opportunity to finally reach a new contract agreement that provides better pay, working conditions and an improved quality of work-life. Arbitration was held on February 27, 2020 and both parties were represented by their respective attorneys. We expect to a decision to be rendered within 30 days. Once that decision has been rendered we will communicate regarding the implementation of the contract.
