Sisters and Brothers:
Today the company announced that effective May 1, 2019, they will open a CRJ200 base in IAH to support our United flying. As of today, they expect to have approximately 16 daily departures. The Company also anticipates that the base will continue to grow through the second quarter.
Please review Sections 16, 17 and 19 of the contract so you may familiarize yourselves with the procedures for domicile openings, displacements and vacancy awards.
We will be meeting with the company continuously through this process to ensure your rights are protected as negotiated in the CBA. IAM representatives will also be available in the ORD crew room in the coming days to answer any questions you may have.
