Unfortunately, the contract is silent when it comes to protecting our members from red arrow days. We are fully aware of the impact red arrow days can have on flexibility and our quality of life.
Once bids were awarded for February, there were 28 days designated as red arrow days. After discussions between the IAM leadership and the company, the number of red arrow days were reduced by the company from 28 to 11.
Correcting issues like this is another prime example of why being persistent at achieving a JCBA is of the utmost importance.
