Your IAM joint contract negotiations committee met from Monday, December 5 and continued through Friday, December 16, 2016 in San Diego, California.
Your Committee exchanged several proposals with the Company on the following Sections:
Section 4, Scheduling – Our primary focus this session was on bidding, Reserve and trip trading. While we are pleased that significant progress is being made in this Section, there are still outstanding issues we are addressing.
Section 8, Vacation – Your committee presented this comprehensive section to the Company and we are waiting a response from the Company.
Section 26, Benefits – We have exchanged proposals on this Section, however your committee is critically reviewing the impact this will have on our membership.
As of this session, the following sections of the JCBA are open:
Section 3, Compensation
Section 4, Scheduling
Section 6, Training
Section 8, Vacation
Section 10, OJI
Section 11, Leaves of Absence
Section 14, Moving Expenses
Section 26, Benefits
Section 27, Duration
Section 30, System Seniority List
As your Negotiating Committee continues to negotiate the Scheduling section, our primary focus is how this section can affect your quality of life. Your support is critical as we look for ways to resolve the inequalities between both contracts and continue to strive for the best from both agreements.
The mediator has scheduled the next negotiations session for January 9 – 13, 2016, in Phoenix, Arizona.
