Sisters and Brothers,
While we are waiting on a response from the National Mediation Board (NMB) regarding our proffer, your IAM joint contract negotiations committee met from Monday, June 12, 2017, and continued through Friday, June 16, 2017, in Springfield, Missouri.
The company presented your negotiations committee with a Section 3 (Compensation) proposal, including a pay scale that we consider a slap in your face as the scale contains pay reductions for a significant number of our members. Your committee made it very clear that we are not interested in a concessionary proposal and our members deserve better.
After meeting with the company, we are more outraged than ever, that we did not make any progress this week towards reaching an agreement. We continue to seek fair wages, pay parity and a merged seniority list while in contrast, the company is seeking to take money out of your pockets after all of our hard work to make the company the regional partner of choice. In an email from the company on March 21, 2017, the Flight Attendants were told:
“Together our team has managed to turn around ExpressJet’s financial health”.
“Our team” has waited long enough. It’s our time and the time is NOW!!!

The mediator has scheduled our next negotiation session in Springfield, Missouri June 19 to June 23, 2017.
