Sisters and Brothers,
Your IAM joint contract negotiations committee met from Monday, February 20 and continued through Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Your committee exchanged several proposals with the Company on the following Sections:
Section 4, Scheduling – Our focus this session was on the part-time programs. Our goal is to include all of the positive aspects of the current programs we now have available that currently exist for both CRJ and ERJ members.
Section 6, Training – While we have narrowed down the issues in this section, we are hopeful that this section will be finalized during our next scheduled negotiations sessions.
Section 8, Vacation – There were several discussions on this section, however, there are still areas that will require additional discussions in order to reach a TA on this section.
As of this session, the following sections of the JCBA are open:
Section 3, Compensation
Section 4, Scheduling
Section 6, Training
Section 8, Vacation
Section 10, OJI
Section 11, Leaves of Absence
Section 14, Moving Expenses
Section 26, Benefits
Section 27, Duration
Section 30, System Seniority List
It’s imperative that we stay the course and understand that we are stronger united and divisiveness weakens our leverage at the negotiating table. We understand that there are different priorities for each of our members, as we are an extremely diverse work group. We will continue to address the various issues in order to improve our quality of life for all of our members.
The mediator has scheduled the next negotiations session for March 20 -24, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas.
Negotiations updates can be accessed at: www.iamDL142.org or on the IAM ExpressJet App which can be downloaded by searching IAMAW on your App or Google Play store.
Fraternally yours,
