As we gather with loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s the perfect time to reflect on our shared achievements and express our heartfelt gratitude. This year has been extraordinary for District 142, thanks to the dedication and trust of our members.
Here are some of the things that we are truly thankful for this year:
• The Contracts We Negotiated: This year, we negotiated more industry-leading agreements that secured improved wages, benefits, and protections for our members, ensuring their hard work is genuinely valued.
• Our Members’ Jobs and Rights are Protected: We successfully represented our members during airline industry transitions, ensuring fair treatment and preserving seniority during mergers and restructuring efforts.
• Members and their Communities are Supported on all Fronts: From natural disaster relief efforts to supporting veterans’ initiatives, District 142 has stood as a pillar of support for our members and the communities we serve.
• Training and Development Opportunities: Thanks to our outstanding Education Committee and the William W. Winpisinger Center, we’ve expanded access to skills training programs, ensuring that our members stay ahead in their fields and can thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
None of this would have been possible without our members’ trust, solidarity, and hard work. You are the heart of our union, and your unwavering support drives our union only forward.
