IAH TERMINAL B SHUTDOWN – EXPRESSJET

Sisters and Brothers:

In light of the recent closure of the IAH terminal B security checkpoint, we have followed up with the Company regarding the continued government shutdown and its effects on TSA employees, specifically the increasing amount of TSA agents missing work due to not being paid.

The Company responded that they had confirmed that the IAH security check points at terminals, A, C, D, and E are open and with the employee drop off being at the E terminal there shouldn’t be any issues that they are aware of, but will monitor closely.

We have advised the Company that they should make preparations for this situation to worsen and advised the Company that it would be better to be proactive and come up with a plan for these TSA delays instead of waiting for it to become a bigger issue that impacts the operation and our members.

To monitor what IAH security checkpoints are open go to www.fly2houston.com/iah/depart/.  We will continue to monitor any other security closures and update you as the situation develops.

In solidarity,
