IAM / AER LINGUS TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED (revised)

Recently in the month of November, the Union and Company met for negotiations in an effort to conclude terms for an amended Collective Bargaining Agreement.  At the conclusion of those meetings, a complete set of terms was reached that were then subject to an approval process from Aer Lingus headship in Ireland and also from the IAM Transportation Department leadership.  I am pleased to report that the new terms have be approved by both entities and can announce the new terms of a Tentative Agreement.  Some of the details include:

·         Job protections for the Cargo Agent Classifications ·         Paid vision insurance for all employees beginning in 2019
·         Minimal health insurance costs increase ·         Increased IAMNPF contribution rates
·         3-year term ·         Continued pay increases
·         Senior Agent premium increase ·         Furniture replacement allowance
·         Complete layoff protection for any reason for term of new agreement

Copies of the Tentative Agreement will be available electronically with hard copies available also.  Please contact a Negotiating Committee member to obtain a copy.  Your Negotiating Committee unanimously recommends a YES vote on this tentative agreement.  It is anticipated that a ratification vote will be conducted during the week of December 17.  Additional details concerning the vote will be released shortly.

Please take the time to thank your committee members and I wish to thank you for your patience and solidarity during this process. If you have any questions, please contact a committee member or give me a call at (859) 653-4037 or email me at .  With best wishes, I remain

Sincerely and fraternally,
