The Tentative Agreement (TA) has made it through the editing, drafting and proofing process. This process took a little extra time as the length of these negotiations and the multitude and complexity of some of the language changes required due diligence on everyone’s part to ensure a 100% accurate document was produced. The Tentative Agreements were printed and mailed to each Station and should be available as of today. Please see your Chief Steward to obtain a copy. It is also available on the District Lodge 142 website at www.iamdl142.org. The following ratification schedule listed below should afford everyone the opportunity to attend a meeting, receive an explanation on the changes, have any questions answered and vote for the TA:
As an important reminder the IAMAW Constitution does not allow for absentee ballots to be used in a contract ratification vote. Therefore, we want to emphasize that all members know they must be present at one of these meetings to vote. This Negotiating Committee again unanimously recommends your acceptance of this Tentative Agreement. Our thanks go out to all of our members for your patience and support in these negotiations.
