IAM/ALASKA AIRLINES – HAWAIIAN AIRLINES JOINT COLLECTIVE BARGAINING NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Your District 142 Joint Alaska-Hawaiian negotiating team continued Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) negotiations with the company this week at the IAM District 142 Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. Your Committee presented to the Company and discussed the following articles:

  • Seniority
  • Safety and Health
  • Grievance Procedure
  • System Board of Adjustments

We are pleased to report that Tentative Agreements (TAs) were reached on the Seniority articles. While TAs were not reached on Safety, Grievance Procedure, or System Board of Adjustments, your team is committed to taking the time to ensure we bring the best possible agreement back to the membership. This was our second week with the Company. While it’s still early in our process, the progress was a bit slower than week one.

Your committee is scheduled to meet in Seattle the Week of September 8th in preparation for our next negotiations with the Company, September 15-17 in Seattle.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your negotiating committee. Please ensure you receive accurate information by signing up for District 142 updates on the website at www.atd142.org and by speaking directly with your negotiating team. These are the only official sources of information. Thank you for your continued support and solidarity.

Sincerely and fraternally,
