Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Your District 142 Joint Alaska-Hawaiian Negotiating Committee continued negotiations on the Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) with the Company last week in Seattle at Alaska’s offices. Your Committee presented to the Company and discussed the following articles:
Part Time- The Union and The Company have reached a tentative agreement on this article.
Transfers and Moving Expenses- The Union and The Company have reached a Tentative agreement on this article.
Transportation- The Union responded to the company’s pass. We are seeking various improvements to the travel program.
Status of Agreement- The Union has received the company’s first pass on this article.
Progress was a bit slower last week, primarily due to external factors beyond either party’s control, including a power outage at the office on Wednesday that cost us most of the day.
Your team will next meet in Anchorage the week of January 12th to prepare for our next session with the Company, which will take place the week of January 19th in Seattle.
Thank you for your continuing support and solidarity as these important negotiations continue. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to a Shop Steward or negotiating committee member.
Sincerely and fraternally,
| John M. Coveny, Jr. President/Directing General Chair | Jesse Wilson General Chair | David Figueira General Chair |
