Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Negotiations were conducted last week under the direction of National Mediation Board mediators Mike Tosi and Gerry McGuckin. Allied Aviation leadership, represented by counsel, were present as was your IAMAW Negotiating Team: District 142 General Chair James M. Samuel, Grand Lodge Representative John Werkmeister and Airline Coordinator Tom Regan.
The previous meeting held on October 18, 2022, was successful in finalizing details concerning negotiations moving forward. This most recent meeting proved to be productive in that whole contract passes were made on the IAH agreement. Our goal is to proceed with each Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) as quickly as possible, so your support and patience are appreciated. We are hopeful that all of the agreements will come together successfully at some point in early 2023 so that everyone will have a chance to vote on a new tentative agreement for their individual stations. An additional meeting has been scheduled by the mediators to occur on November 15, 2022.
If you haven’t already done so, go to www.atd142.org to update your information and join our email list (links found at the top and bottom of the home page) to receive the most current information related to these negotiations and all activities occurring with Air Transport Lodge District 142. With best wishes we remain
Sincerely and fraternally,
John M. Coveny, Jr.
