IAM/Amentum – Homestead CBP Tentative Agreement Reached

POST ON ALL IAM BULLETIN BOARDS

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement were conducted recently with management representatives from Amentum at the Local Lodge 368 building in Miami, Florida.  After three days of direct negotiations and subsequent follow-up for language clarifications, a Tentative Agreement comprised of the Company’s best and final offer was reached that includes the following:

  • Wage Increases of 7%, 3%, 3% and 3%
  • Increased automatic 410k contribution from 4% to 5% over life of the agreement
  • Added premiums for engine run &  taxi, hazmat and CDL
  • Increased uniform allowance to $450
  • Added medical insurance opt-out credit of $2.00/hr if employee does not take insurance
  • Added a 48-hour notice for TDY before being forced to go on a trip
  • Added Juneteenth holiday
  • Added 2 additional bereavement days
  • 4-year term on new agreement
  • Added shift bid language
  • Added disciplinary language restrictions

Copies of all the changes will be available for your review and available on the DL 142 website (www.atd142.org). Based on the above improvements, it is the unanimous recommendation of this Negotiating Committee that the membership support these changes with a YES vote during the upcoming ratification.  The ratification vote will occur on Wednesday, July 20, and will take place at the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) building, Homestead Base, FL 33039.  All dayshift personnel will vote as soon as their shift concludes. All swing shift personnel will vote prior to their shift beginning.  Please plan accordingly as you must be present to vote.  There are no absentee ballots for a contract ratification vote.

We wish to thank the membership for their support and steadfast patience throughout this process.  If there are any questions or concerns prior to the ratification meeting, please contact your Negotiating Committee members, or feel free to reach me on my cell at (859) 653-4037, or by email at .  With best wishes, we remain

Sincerely and fraternally,
