Negotiations were conducted this week on December 10 and 11 in MIA. Present for the Company were Cornel Mortimer, Director – Human Resources, and Keith Archer, Labor Consultant. Present for your Union was James M. Samuel, General Chairperson. As you may be aware, Shannon Henfield from FLL, and who has previously participated on the negotiating committee, most recently resigned from the Company. With such short notice, a replacement has not been found.
After receiving an update on the current status of your airline and engaging in discussions on future plans currently being developed for government approval, the parties exchanged proposals centered solely on economic topics consisting of wages and benefits. While no agreement was reached, the Companies proposals were certainly of a positive nature as compared to previous years.
I will continue the exchange of proposals over the holidays in the hopes that a Tentative Agreement can be reached. However, future dates were selected for talks to occur on January 14 and 15, if needed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I can be reached at .
