IAM/BRITISH AIRWAYS NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE: CONTRACT TALKS CONTINUE

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Your IAM District 142 negotiating committee met with British Airways leadership, for the third time, on October 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2023, in New York City, to continue Section 6 Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations for Engineering and Worldwide Airports (CSA).

Discussions continued to be productive and collaborative, with proposed amendments passed between both parties covering a number of articles, some of which we are close to the final language.

Talks surrounding economics have begun, and as the Company openly recognizes the value that exists within the US-based group, we will work to get the wages to reflect this value.

Future meetings for direct negotiations will occur during the week of November 13th, 2023, in Phoenix. We fully expect to continue to get closer to the final language with only a few economic issues remaining. We will continue to work diligently with the goal of closing these negotiations quickly for the membership.

We continue to make steady progress toward a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, and we remain firm in our stance to advocate what is best for the membership.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
