With the balloting period concluded on November 19, 2014 all ballots postmarked correctly and received were counted and certified today by District Lodge 142. I am pleased to report that with almost double the participation as compared to the first rejection, over 85% of the Flight Attendant group voted to accept the Tentative Agreement.
I will be in contact with the Company over the coming weeks concerning implementation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Work will also begin on coordinating with the Transportation Department staff concerning the membership Local Lodge assignments, organizing of Committees and many other various tasks. As details are finalized, the information will be communicated via bulletins which will be posted in the crew rooms and can always be found on the District website at www.iamdl142.org. I look forward to working with everyone as we move forward in the coming months.
