Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Your District 142 Negotiation Committee met with CommuteAir leadership in Houston last week, October 17- 19, 2023, at the Sheraton Houston Airport.
Your Committee and General Chair opened negotiations on October 17 by establishing the ground rules and framework for productive negotiations going forward. Future dates were agreed upon by both sides for the weeks of November 27, December 11, and January 15.
Your team passed The Company ten sections/articles with proposed changes based on the survey results and proposal forms filled out by the CommuteAir membership. Over the course of the week, we reached tentative agreements on four sections. Your Union Negotiation Team is reviewing the company’s counterproposals on the outstanding articles and will work on our next passes for the upcoming meeting dates.
We appreciate the Company coming to the table ready to reach a fair deal for our membership and are pleased with the progress made this week.
