IAM DISASTER RELIEF FUND AND EAP READY TO ASSIST MEMBERS IN THE AFTERMATH OF HURRICANE BERYL **UPDATED**

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Monday, July 8, 2024, near Matagorda, TX, about 100 miles from Houston, battering Southeast Texas and Louisiana with heavy rains and winds. Several deaths have already been attributed to the storm in Texas and Louisiana, and over a million power outages have been reported, including outages in parts of Arkansas.

IAM District 142 EAP reps have been in communication since before the storm came ashore and continue monitoring reports of damage from our members in that area.

If you or a loved one have been affected by Hurricane Beryl and need assistance, please contact District 142 EAP Director Paul Shultz: 24-Hour Confidential Voicemail: (704) 907-3563, or EAP rep Mack McKinney in SAT: (210) 684-1947,  . Please note that during a power outage, a text or phone call may be faster and more reliable than an email.

The IAM Disaster Relief Fund is an important resource during natural disasters. The link below will provide information and brochures.

If you require any assistance with your job during this time, please contact your Shop Stewards and General Chairs.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
President/Directing General Chair
IAM District 142
