IAM District 142 Members at Aer Lingus Overwhelmingly Ratify New Transitional Letter of Agreement

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Today our IAM District Lodge 142 members from Aer Lingus overwhelmingly voted YES to ratify the Transitional Letter of Agreement. This Letter of Agreement provides that the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between Aer Lingus and the IAM will remain in effect as we continue negotiations for a new contract, in addition to guaranteeing a lump-sum payment to each member in the U.S. equivalent of €1700 (Euros) to close out 2022.

We would like to thank each one of our Aer Lingus members for their patience, commitment, and solidarity as we moved to finalize and vote on the Letter of Agreement. This is an important step on the path to a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your General Chair, James M. Samuel, at with any questions or concerns. With best wishes we remain

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
