IAM DISTRICT 142 NEGOTIATION COMMITTEE AND MCGEE AIR SERVICES MEETING

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Your IAM Negotiation Committee met with McGee Air Services during the week of May 19th – May 23rd.

Your negotiating committee heard your voices loud and clear, through both the survey results and from direct conversations in your breakrooms that you demand changes to the contract that will improve your quality of life. It’s with this directive that your committee has been drafting and proposing language to meet those demands.

Unfortunately, we must report that the progress has been minimal due to the company’s lack of meaningful engagement at the table.

Even more concerning, the company has made it clear they do not want to add any new language to the contract, rather keeping things as policy that they can change or eliminate at any time. This signals a troubling lack of willingness to address the real concerns you have brought forward through surveys, meetings, and conversations.

Over the course of the week, your negotiating committee submitted five proposals addressing these key improvements. Despite our efforts, the company has not provided a single written response or counterproposal to any of them.

The next scheduled negotiation session is the week of June 2nd, we fully expect that the company will have responses to our passes from this session. We remain optimistic that there is a viable path forward and can achieve a contract through beneficial and positive collaborative dialogue.

We will be scheduling station visits throughout the system to communicate directly with the membership to answer any questions or concerns they have about the negotiation process.

Sincerely and fraternally,
