Dear Sisters and Brothers:
There is still room to register for the District 142 Southwest Airlines Phase II Steward Conference to be held at the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD. Local Lodge-approved stewards will be accepted on a first-come basis until the registration reaches capacity.
- Travel dates: Sunday, January 14, and Friday, January 19, 2024. Shuttle service is provided by the Winpisinger Center from/to Baltimore Washington National (BWI) Airport.
- Conference dates: Monday, January 15 – Thursday, January 18, 2024. (4 days).
- Time off and all related expenses will be borne by the respective Local Lodge.
- The Local Lodge will submit union business Time Off Requests to the Company.
- Upon approval by the Local Lodge, the Recording Secretary (or other LL elected officer) will forward to District 142 the following information via email to: :
- Approved Steward’s full name (no nicknames or just initials)
- Steward’s personal email address (no Company email address)
- Steward’s personal phone number (no Company phone numbers)
- The deadline to submit the information above to District 142 via email at is Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
- Approved stewards will receive their Travel Packet instructions at their personal email address after Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
All approved steward’s registration information, questions, concerns, and comments should be submitted to District 142 via email at . Please do not post any steward conference information, questions, or comments on any of the District’s social media platforms.
