Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Your negotiating team met with Lufthansa Technik on February 4th, 5th, and 6th in Newark, New Jersey, under the guidance of a Federal Mediator. These sessions focused on the economic portion of the contract. While some progress was made, several key economic issues remain unresolved.
Since that session, both parties have continued discussions and exchanged multiple proposals in an effort to reach a Tentative Agreement on the outstanding economic matters. On Friday, February 13th, the Union received a revised proposal from Lufthansa Technik.
Our team will review and discuss this proposal on Monday, February 16th, and determine the appropriate next steps. We will continue to keep you informed as developments occur.
