IAM/McGee Air Services – Rumors of Job Actions

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

District 142 is aware of recent discussions and rumors circulating in the workplace following McGee’s announcement about the Reliability Pay Program. We understand the frustration many of our members are feeling, as the Company’s decision impacts all of you, and your concerns are valid.

At the same time, we want to be clear about our responsibilities under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and the law. The IAM does not call for, support, or encourage any job action that violates the CBA or federal law, including but not limited to: sick-outs, slow-downs, work stoppages, or any coordinated disruption of operations

Section 10.3 of the CBA specifically prohibits such activity, and individual participation in an unlawful job action may expose members to disciplinary action under Company policy, up to and including termination.

We are not confirming any claim by McGee regarding planned job actions. However, rumors have surfaced. Given the Company’s communication of its concerns, it is important that we remind members of the contractual obligations governing our conduct.

District 142 continues to communicate directly with McGee leadership regarding the Reliability Pay Program and the issues you have raised. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Your solidarity and professionalism remain essential as we navigate this together. Please direct any questions or concerns to your Shop Stewards, General Chairs, or Local officers.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
President/Directing General Chair
