IAM MEMBERS AT BAHAMASAIR OVERWHELMINGLY RATIFY NEW COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM members at Bahamasair have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The newly ratified Contract includes average wage increases at DOR of 23.87%, backpay in the form of wage increases and lump sum payments, increased training per diems and mechanic license premiums, increases in vacation, holiday, and bereavement leave, and improvements to medical premium caps.

The Bahamasair agreement covers the aircraft maintenance, clerical, office, fleet, passenger service, customer service, cargo, reservations, and ticketing classifications in West Palm Beach, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

Your District 142 leadership has informed the company, the IAM Grand Lodge, and Air Transport Territory of this successful ratification vote. The next steps will include preparing the final version of the contract and making it available to all members at Bahamasair. We will continue to work closely with our membership as this new contract is implemented and we appreciate your patience and solidarity as we work through this process.

If you have any questions or concerns about your new contract, please reach out to your General Chair, James M. Samuel, at (859) 653-4037 or .

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
