Dear Sisters and Brothers:
While we continue to engage the company at the negotiating table, we still have more work to do to achieve the contract that our members deserve. We have just a few issues left, but those issues determine how you will provide for your families financially.
As we strive to bring negotiations to a close and ensure that our members are rewarded for their loyalty and hard work, we have agreed with the companyto extend the contract until June 12, 2023. We believe strongly, however, that we will reach an agreement prior to this date.
We are currently in discussions with Menzies in order to establish dates for future negotiations. All terms and conditions of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) are to stay in full force and effect during the term of this additional extension. Any improvements to wages in a new agreement will be retroactive to January 14, 2023.
Your negotiating committee is standing firm to ensure your sacrifices and continued professionalism is recognized by the company. Without you there would be no Menzies Aviation. Your job should be treated as a profession instead of a fast-food establishment run by teenagers.
