POST ON ALL IAM BULLETIN BOARDS
Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Negotiations for a first contract opened between IAMAW District 142 and National Airlines Management this past week, August 30 -September 1, 2022. Your negotiating team consisted of the following: IAMAW Grand Lodge Air Transportation Territory Representatives Joe Stassi and Jeff Tobius, for IAM Air Transport District Lodge 142 was President-Directing Chair John Coveny, your bargaining unit Negotiating Committee members are Diatree (Devi) Schwapp, Dev Oman and Joshua Badillo. Additionally, for better job scope and job tasking we invited IAM Sister Lisa Ferm (Senior Flight Attendant). As you can see and know, your negotiating team is made up of many very professional and seasoned negotiators. Present for National Airlines were Michael Garvin and Deborah Hammond.
After exchanging openers, the discussion centered on the topics of Uniforms and Union Security. While no tentative agreements were reached on any individual issue, your Union representatives made clear the position(s) of the membership and the goals they wish to achieve through the bargaining process. Dates for future negotiations were agreed to through the end of 2022. We will communicate tentative future dates as they are locked in, furthermore we will keep you updated as these negotiations progresses.
