Your District Lodge 142 Negotiations Team met with representatives from National Airlines the week of August 14, 2023 at District 142 headquarters in Phoenix, AZ under the supervision of the National Mediation Board (NMB) Mediator Conner Parker.
The Company has added Captain Jyri Strandman, Vice President of Flight Operations, to their team, and came to the table prepared to aggressively move the negotiations process forward. We would like to thank Mr. Strandman for his dedication to getting a fair deal for our membership. The Union and Company reached tentative agreements on articles pertaining to Scope, Purser, Leaves of Absence, Hotels, Safety, General, Insurance, Retirement, and Transportation. The remaining open articles are primarily tied to the overall financial package.
Your union negotiating team will meet in Phoenix the week of September 4th to draft our next passes on the outstanding open articles. The pace of negotiations has greatly accelerated, we are pleased with the progress made during the last session, and excited for our next meeting with the company the week of September 18th.
