IAM / PAE – HOMESTEAD CBP AGREEMENT REACHED

Negotiations between the IAM and PAE were conducted last week in Miami on Tuesday through Thursday.  These negotiations concluded with terms covering a new Collective Bargaining Agreement being reached on late Thursday afternoon.  On Friday, the details of these talks were communicated to the International and an approval to proceed to ratification was granted late yesterday.

Some of the details negotiated are as follows:

·   Advanced notice of work rule changes ·   Improved Article 8 seniority protections
·   Article 11 Flight Pay premiums of $2.00/hr ·   Article 12 PPT payout up to 160 hours
·   Article 15 Insurance – Medical plan rate reductions ·   Insurance rates capped with one $5 increase in 2017 for Medical only
·   Improved Company provided Life Insurance ·   Improved Company provided STD Insurance
·   3 year term ·   RII Inspector premium of $1.25
·   Wage increases of 2% each year over term ·   $0.30 per hour, per year equity adjustment above the 2% for all Quality Assurance Inspectors

While this Agreement addresses a large number of your proposals, it does fall short in some areas that the membership tasked the Negotiating Committee to achieve at the bargaining table.  The changes will be released to the local Shop Stewards for dissemination to the membership no later than Thursday morning in the hopes of conducting a ratification vote next week at the site in Homestead, Florida.  Further details will follow concerning the ratification to be conducted.

With best wishes, I remain

Sincerely and fraternally,

James M. Samuel
