Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Negotiations resumed this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with in-person meetings taking place at the Local Lodge 1725 facility in CLT (Charlotte). The full committees for the Union and the Company were present at this meeting.
With the pace we have had thus far, it has allowed to us to get through around 80% of the non-economic proposals with TA’s having been reached in Articles 9, 12, 13, 22, 23, 26 & 27. Of the remaining non-economic portions of the CBA left, Article 10 was a primary focus this week. Dialogue amongst both groups helped in crafting an almost complete re-write of Article 10 to codify many current practices and to create new expanded language that will help with vacancies of many types. I am pleased that Article was completely finished this week resulting in another whole tentative agreement.
Future dates for negotiations are set for the week of May 9 and tentatively scheduled to occur in CLT again. Flying has been very challenging this week and the forecasted loads, in the near future, will continue to make it challenging for getting everyone to negotiations. We may have to adapt to that if needed.
As always, the sharing of information with you continues to be a priority for your negotiating committee and will continue by bulletins like this. Our goal remains to make sure you have the most up to date information concerning negotiations. Don’t forget to add a personal e-mail address to the District Lodge 142 database for future PSA or other communications by clicking the red “Join Our Email List!!!” button on the DL 142 website at www.iamdl142.org. If you have any questions about this process, please give me a call at (859) 653-4037 or email at . With best wishes, we remain
Sincerely and fraternally,
