Having completed the call for proposals, the convening of a committee for proposal screening/correlation for the Union’s body of proposals and the completion of the collective bargaining preparation training last week in CLT, your negotiating committee is prepared to begin bargaining with the Company. The opening day of negotiations is set for October 7th and will occur in DAY.
Earlier this month an online survey was made available to the membership which provides another valuable tool for your committee to use and guide us at the bargaining table. It is instrumental in collecting data which, in addition to your proposals, helps direct our bargaining strategies. It is extremely important that 100% of our membership take the time to complete the survey. To date, we have received around 300 returns which is good, but certainly no where close to the 100% we would prefer to see.
This survey will continue to be available online for at least two more weeks. It can be found on the District Lodge 142 website at www.iamdl142.org. Just look for the 2021 PSA Airlines Negotiations Survey text for the link on the top left of the page. Following the completion of the online portion of the survey, the IAM Strategic Resources department will correlate the data and we will share the results with each station.
Communications has been, and always will be an important aspect of the bargaining process. Our goal is to make sure everyone has the most up to date information concerning negotiations. One of the easiest ways for you to receive information is to add a personal e-mail address to the District Lodge 142 database for future PSA or other communications. The easiest way to do this is by clicking the red “Join Our Email List!!!” button on the website while you’re there to take the survey. Another way to be added to the mailing list or to submit an e-mail address, is to call the District Lodge 142 office at (816) 452-6646. If you have any questions about this process, please give me a call at (859) 653-4037. With best wishes, I remain
Sincerely and fraternally,
