Dear Sisters and Brothers:
We are pleased to officially announce the signing of the Letter of Understanding Number Thirteen (LOU 13) between DL 142 and Southwest Airlines. LOU 13 addresses Voluntary Overtime (VOT) for Customer Representatives. The agreed upon highlights include:
- The Company may offer, and Customer Representatives may sign-up for, VOT in one-hour increments (at a minimum), regardless of day-off or day of work and regardless of whether the VOT is in conjunction with a shift.
- Nothing in the agreement requires Customer Representatives to pick up any VOT shift, and Southwest Airlines is not required to offer any VOT, including in one-hour increments.
- LOU 13 has no effect on any other type of VOT provided for under the CBA.
- All VOT will continue to be awarded and paid in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
