IAM/SOUTHWEST AIRLINES NCP NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM District 142 leadership met with Southwest Airlines leadership this week to plan for the opening of contract negotiations for  Network Operations Control Customer Planners (NCP).

The Southwest NCP group joined the IAM in April of this year after the majority of employees signed authorization cards. The National Mediation Board recognized the group as part of Southwest Airlines Customer Service employees who are already members of the IAM.

During this week’s meeting, the union and company scheduled negotiation dates at Southwest Airlines Headquarters in Dallas for December 11, 12, 17, and 18.

Your District 142 negotiations team recently conducted a survey of the NCP membership and has already been meeting to discuss proposed contract language before starting negotiations in December.

Thank you to our NCP members for your continued support and solidarity as we move into the next phase of negotiations to secure a Collective Bargaining Agreement for which you will be proud to vote YES.

Sincerely and fraternally,
