POST ON ALL IAM BULLETIN BOARDS
Dear Sisters and Brothers:
In preparation for your 2023 contract negotiations between the IAMAW (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) and McGee Air Services, we are pleased to announce your first McGee, IAMAW Negotiation Committee.
• Sister Tina Cummins – Chief Steward – PDX Ramp
• Brother Nico Lynch – Steward – LAX Fleet
• Brother Faagaee Noa – Chief Steward – SFO Ramp
• Sister Sonya Nugent – Chief Steward – SEA Ramp
Your Sisters and Brothers will be joined by IAMAW Air Transport District Lodge 142 General Chairs, Brothers Jason McAdoo and Justin Bates who will be the committee chief spokespersons for the Negotiation team.
Your negotiating team will be attending 6 days of training at the IAM’s training facility, the William W. Winpisinger Center in Hollywood, Maryland. They will attend classes which include Strategic Planning, Collective Bargaining, Contract Labor Law, Contract Proposal Costing, and many others.
While we recognize this is a new process for the McGee membership, we are committed to providing frequent communications throughout this process and updates on your Committee’s progress. We will be sending a communication shortly regarding the first steps in the negotiation process, which is a survey of the membership. This survey will be online and a great opportunity for every member at McGee Air Services to make your voice heard regarding contract proposals, issues, and concerns for the upcoming negotiations.
Participating in the survey is a vital part of this process and will assist your IAM negotiating team with issues most important to you to be addressed at the negotiating table. Please reach out to your local Union Shop Steward to be sure your IAM District 142 has your most current email and mailing address or go to our website to update (https://atd142.org). This will help make sure surveys, communications and negotiations related information will reach you personally and promptly.
With your support, your negotiating team will work hard to negotiate the best contract possible. Your negotiating team will bring back for your review and discussions, the company’s last-best-final offer, which you will vote on. Please let us know if you have any questions, the committee looks forward to working with you through this process. With best wishes we remain
Fraternally,
John M. Coveny, Jr.
