The parties were scheduled to meet for negotiations on October 28, 29, and 30, 2015 at the Double Tree in Columbia, South Carolina. Present for the Company were Bob Frisch, VP Flight Operation and Labor; Gary Pratt, VP Maintenance and Engineering; Tina Vos, Managing Director Human Resources; Mike McHargue, Director of Maintenance; and Ashley Krueger, Employee Relations Manager. Present for the Union were General Chair Jerry Lemke, and the Negotiating Committee Members, Gary Vargo, Seneca Harris, Jason Saledas and Allan James Ross.
Several proposals were exchanged between the parties, including Articles 20, 31, and a new Article on Uniforms and Appearance. Discussions centered on full explanations behind each proposal. Dialogue between the parties was again positive and constructive. A tentative agreement was reached on Article 23.
Due to flight issues the session scheduled for Friday October 30 was cancelled. Grievance 00907 dealing with Union positive space flights was moved from Step 2 to Step 4 and a Step 4 hearing was held in CAE. A discussion was also held on the ten (10) outstanding CAE OT bypass grievances
Negotiations will resume on December 15, 16 and 17, 2015 in Norfolk, Virginia. Future negotiation meetings are planned on January 19, 20, and 21 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and February 23, 24 and 25 Columbia, South Carolina.
