The IAM would like to take the time to recognize our incredible flight attendant sisters and brothers who provide safe, caring, dependable and efficient service each day. We would like to wish you a happy International Flight Attendant Day!
Often times, we begin our days with an early report or a late duty-out all the while remaining alert and providing a safe flight for our passengers. On many occasions, we have to plan for un-birthdays and belated holiday celebrations with our family and friends. Your dedication doesn’t always get recognized.
Your responsibilities as aviation’s first responders entail a wide variety of emergencies such as security issues, passenger disturbances, fires or smoke on the aircraft, medical emergencies, along with the normal day to day issues with passengers who are increasingly stressed from travel. Many times, those responsibilities go unnoticed by the general public.
So, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank all of our IAM flight attendants at ExpressJet and CommutAir along with Delta flight attendants, who are working to become IAM members, and all Flight Attendants across the world for their hard work and dedication in doing such a great and important job.
