Sisters & Brothers,
As you know the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM) are members of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), which has unions from all over the world working together to protect workers’ rights on a global scale. In accordance with this work they have issued a survey regarding harassment at work for flight attendants/cabin crew members.
Shocking revelations of harassment and discrimination in the airline industry have come to light over the past year, with worrying numbers of cabin crew experiencing harassment, bullying and discrimination at work.
To hold airlines to account for the safety of their crew – and to ensure that companies are taking harassment and discrimination seriously and implementing policies and reporting processes that offer protections for workers to come forward – we invite all members to take part in the ITF Cabin Crew Survey to help us increase the scrutiny on the industry.
Every flight attendant deserves a safe workplace, free from violence, harassment and discrimination – no matter their gender, ethnicity of how they identify. Please click here to take the survey: https://itf-global.typeform.com/to/xglLT2
We thank you for your help in addressing this very serious issue.
In solidarity,
Sara
